LCCC Industry Workshop

Latvian Chip Competence Centre start the new year with clear goals and a continued focus on moving forward!

Looking back at the past year, it included the LCCC Industry Workshop, where together with industry leaders we discussed the development directions of LCCC for 2026 and the following 3–5 years.

The workshop brought together executives and experts from LMT, Bosch, SAF Tehnika, MikroTik, Frankenburg Technologies, HansaMatrix, and NEWT21, who provided valuable input into discussions on the future development of the semiconductor ecosystem in Latvia.

The objective of the workshop was to gather strategic industry insights and feedback on LCCC’s current and planned activities, while strengthening collaboration between industry and academia.

Discussions focused on practice-oriented, industry-driven education, prioritisation of thematic verticals, skills and talent development, and the role of the competence centre as a platform for learning, experimentation.

As a result of the workshop, concrete next steps and action points were identified, forming a solid foundation for further development of the LCCC strategic roadmap and planning of activities for 2026. At the same time, the event confirmed strong practical and moral support from key industry players, demonstrating a shared commitment to long-term cooperation.

We continue working together to build a strong, focused, and practical chip competence ecosystem!
